SECURITY COUNCIL LIVE: UN to brief ambassadors on Haiti crisis

The UN Security Council is due to be briefed at the top of the hour on the overlapping crises which have beset Haiti in recent months, stemming from a political vacuum, economic turmoil and recurring extreme weather-related disasters which has left much of country at the mercy of heavily armed gangs. Ambassadors are due to hear from the Secretary-General’s Special Representative, María Isabel Salvador, and UNICEF’s Executive Director, Catherine Russell. UN News app users can follow here.
