Apple laptops and computers are zippy, sleek, and expensive as all hell — but you can get more bang with your buck if you buy when the time is right. With Amazon’s Big Spring Sale just around the corner and plenty of MacBooks already marked down, we’d say that time is now.

The sale is officially on from March 20 to 25, but we’ve seen several early deals, and not just at Amazon. We’ll be keeping a close eye on price changes as the sale progresses for any major Mac deals. So far, we’ve seen a small (read: very small) discount on the M3 MacBook Air though it just came out earlier this month, price drops on the M2 MacBook Air, and even some pretty solid deals on M1 iMacs.

We’ll be updating this list regularly, so be sure to check back often — and don’t forget to see what else Amazon’s discounting during this spring sale.

Why we like it

Check out our full review of the 15-inch M2 MacBook Air.

One of the best times to grab a big purchase like a MacBook Air is right after a newer model crops up. Case in point: This 15-inch Air with 512GB of built-in storage is $ 300 off at Best Buy — and it only came out last June. The major difference between this and the just-released Air will be the slightly slower M2 chipset, but we really do mean slightly. Overall, you’ll get a marginally more streamlined machine with the M3, but if you don’t need the latest and greatest and like saving money, this M2 deal is worth looking at.

Why we like it

Let’s be honest — people don’t get iMacs because they want the most powerful desktop computer out there, and Apple doesn’t make them for that reason. Though this M1 model is a tad on the older side, the major difference between it and last year’s M3 iMac is that processor. If all you’re really looking for is a desktop that can get you through everyday tasks and is easy to use, we’re willing to bet you won’t be too fussed over the speed differences in those processors. And at $ 900, you can get it cheaper than most MacBooks.
